Antique primitive Swedish bench in folk art from northern Sweden. The bench is made during the first few years of the 19th century, around 1810 to 1820. The bench is one of the simplest and purest forms of seating. A wooden board with four legs made by hand with simple tools. The bench has a thick solid seat made from a single board of wood. After centuries of use it has a unique rustic and natural patina. The legs are made from tree branches. Healthy, stable and still in functional condition.
