Armchair “Eva” by Bruno Mathsson and made by Firma Karl Mathsson. The Eva chair, model Mi 427, was designed in 1941 and is one of Bruno Mathsson’s true design classics. This particular model is dated 1971. The chair has a lower back and the timeless sleek lines and elegant proportions.
The frame of the chair is made in beech and the seat is woven with leather straps. Branded with the makers mark. The overall impression of the chair is good. The condition is well and consistent with the age and use of the chair. There are some minor marks and scratches. A common problem is that the leather straps in the seat become stretched out with use. The straps of this chair are still taunt.
