Börge Mogensen dining table ”Øresund” by Karl Andersson & Söner in Sweden. The table Öresund or Øresund is a large round dining table with sleek proportions and a timeless expression. Øresund has been made by Karl Andersson & Söner since 1955 and was handmade in Huskvarna where they have been active since 1898 and still is today.
The original version of this table was made in pine and teak. This table is made in teak which is unusual to find today. Also worth nothing is that this table is extendable but the extra sections are missing. This particular table is unmarked with the exception of a few numbers underneath and on the legs. The numbers are exactly the same as on documented Øresund tables and it’s therefore possible to draw the conclusion that this is a Börge Mogensen original. Good vintage condition with minor traces of wear and use. The table top has some minor scratches – see pictures.
