Country neoclassic corner cabinet with the characteristic neoclassical shape. Made in pine in Northern Sweden around 1800 to 1820, the Swedish neoclassical period is also known as the gustavian period. The cabinet is in 2 parts with old historic paint with the distressed patina of time and use. The paint has some marks of wear.
Painted inside which is also old historic paint. Later locks from the early 1900s which are in working condition. The panels at the sides which are angled from the wall have a ribbed decor and the arch over the midsection have a decorated edge. The cabinet has hand wrought riveted hinges in iron. Healthy and solid frame. The upper and lower cabinet are 125 and 90 cm tall respectively. The front measures 125 cm straight across the corners and both short sides are 65 cm.
