Elegant gustavian country sideboard from around 1790 to 1810. The sideboard is a classic country home furniture from northern Sweden with the straight shape typical for the gustavian period. The gustavian sideboard is one of the most recognisable Swedish antiques and they are a timeless classic. This model is particularly elegant with a restrained and simple decor combined with fine details.

The sideboard has two doors and a fluted decor that spans across the whole front. It also has a very delicate carved border running just underneath the table top. The raised edge around the back and sides has a small flutes along the sides – see detail picture. The sideboard is pine and dry scraped by hand down to the original paint. The paint has some signs of distress and a patina of time. Working key. Healthy and solid frame with traces of old repairs, such as the hinges which are replaced.
