Mid-19th century wood bowl from northern Sweden. The bowl has an organic or oval shape and unusually high sides which also makes it unusually deep. It has some marks of use on the outside but the bowl still has the original faux paint. Bowls like these were household items that were used daily so the extra expense to paint this bowl meant it was a nicer special one. It has a minor loss of material on the edge – see pictures.
