Antique Swedish gustavian commode made during the late 18th century, around 1790. The commode has 4 drawers and slanted corners. It has the original straight and tapered legs with hand carved flutes. The commode is made in painted pine with patina and distress that draws attention to the lines and details that are so characteristic of the gustavian period. Old hardware in brass complements the black paint however the drawer pulls on the bottom drawer don’t have the same decor as the rest.

The drawers are in working condition with some traces of previous repairs. The table top itself slightly concave which can be seen on the pictures. However it’s nothing that affects the function and is a sign of the age of the commode. Similarly to how us people can become a little bit crooked with age.
