Gustavian provincial country table from northern Sweden. Made during the first few years of the 19th century, between 1800 and 1810. The table is a provincial work in painted pine with 3 drawers and straight tapered legs. It has the original light paint with authentic wear and patina. The table top can be lifted off and is held in place by two wooden plugs on the short ends. The table would work well as both a wall table and work table and the wide table top provides plenty of space. The drawers contrast nicely with the distressed white paint and the rounded edges of the table top speaks of unmistakable age. Well made with a healthy and solid frame.
