Late gustavian tabouret or footstool from the years around 1790 to 1810. The tabouret is from Sweden and made in pine. This piece is made with armrests or handles on each side as well as a rich decor. The paint has been dry scraped by hand down to the original paint. The decor is carved by hand into the intricate shapes and elaborate designs that are all over the tabouret. The seat is recently renovated and upholstered in hand-woven linen fabric. Healthy and stable. The size is also very good where it’s small enough to be easily placed but large enough to be noticeable and functional.
