Long case clock from Mälardalen, close to Stockholm in Sweden. The clock is from around 1790 and the case has the classic rococo shape. The surface of the clock has been scraped to show the original first layer of light blue paint. An unusual detail is the pockets of glass at the side of the head.
The accompanying white plinth is a later addition from the mid 1800s. The clock comes with the original mechanism, weights and pendulum. The function of the timepiece has not been tested and the clock is sold as is.
