Low and wide Swedish sideboard from the mid 1800s, around 1860. The sideboard has 10 drawers framing the two doors in the centre. The multiple drawers are a very unusual construction for this kind of furniture from this period. In addition the sideboard is also lower and wider than the typical models. Making it a truly standout and unique piece in it’s own right. The sideboard is one of the more well-known and recognised Swedish country antiques and has stood the test of time. This particular piece stands even more with a different look and construction.

The sideboard is from northern Sweden and has distressed paint and patina where the warm pine underneath shines through in places. The distress and patina adds extra character that makes the sideboard what it is today. Original lock and key that are in working condition. The hard ware is wrought iron. Overall the sideboard is healthy and solid with working drawers.
