Unusually large wood bowl from the late 1800s. The bowl is from Sweden and has a very organic shape with carved handles at the sides. The bowl also has a carved house mark which marked ownership of the bowl – see picture. It’s carved by hand from a single piece of solid wood and the result is a dramatic piece both in terms of colour and shape. The wood has shifts in the colour and tone which makes the bowl more dynamic and compelling. The shape itself is bold and combined with the size it makes a striking image.
