Swedish folk art chair in gustavian style from the mid 1800s. The chair is from Northern Sweden and has the original blue paint. The paint has some distress and patina so the wood underneath shines trough. The chair would work well as for example a side chair where it can add to the interior with its colour and patina while still being a functional piece. A fun detail is the drawer that’s underneath the seat. It’s very unusual to see and it also has the original wood drawer pull. The seat has some minor loss of material on the front left side – see picture.
