Rare Swedish antique sideboard. The sideboard is a country house furniture from northern Sweden made around 1820. Made by hand with a frame in solid pine. An unusual original furniture with four doors with fluted decor and completely untouched original condition. Original faux paint, an 19th century painter’s free interpretation of mahogany.
The paint shows the sideboard’s history with distress and patina from age. Interior with shelfs. Both outer doors have had the hinges replaced during the late 1800s – see pictures. There are some smaller marks and traces around the later hinges, the doors are functional. The sideboard has a unique wide frame that is also unusually shallow, only 37 cm deep. Healthy and stable frame. Total height is 115.5 cm with the table top measuring 99.5 cm high.
