Set of Swedish rococo chairs from the later half of the 1700s, around 1780 to 1790. The chairs are period rococo and have their origin in Västerbotten in Northern Sweden. Dry scraped to the original paint from the late 1700s. The chairs are the carpenter’s own charming interpretation of the rococo style, with slightly exaggerated proportions in comparison to chairs made in the capital Stockholm, but still clearly from the same period. Healthy and solid with new padding and new upholstery in linen fabric. The seat is 42 x 44 cm.
