Rare large Swedish cabinet, folk art in gustavian style. The cabinet is made by hand in solid pine in northern Sweden around 1810 to 1820. Two parts, classic straight shape and slanted corners. Traces of the original grey-toned paint which is distressed from time so that the pine underneath shines through. The upper cabinet has double doors and an interior with shelves. The shelves on the left side are movable. The interior also has the original blue paint. Working lock and key.
Measurements:
Lower cabinet measures 153 by 44 cm and 83 cm tall. Upper cabinet, the pediment measures 151.5 by 36 cm and 153 cm tall. Total height 236 cm.
