Antique folk art basket from northern Sweden made during the mid 19th century, around 1840. The basket is made by hand in pine and has the original paint as well as the original detailed decor. Good vintage condition with some traces of use which has caused distress to the paint and allows the wood underneath to shine through in places. Including the handles the basket measures 28 cm high and without 18 cm.
