Elegant bureau cabinet from Sweden most likely made around Stockholm during the transition period between baroque and rococo. The cabinet is in two parts and the exterior is bare pine. The interior has the original blue paint with multiple small drawers and the cabinet also has the original hardware, lock and key which are in functional condition. Healthy and solid frame.

Take extra notice to the notches on the upmost shelf. They were made especially to hang the household’s fine silver spoons, something only the wealthiest households could afford. The crown of this cabinet is ornate with multiple curves and angles which ties in well with the other details, such as the carved lower edge. Because the exterior surface is not painted the pine really shines with the genuine and authentic patina only time can produce.
