Folk art blue cabinet from the early 1800s. This antique corner cabinet is made in gustavian style in northern Sweden around 1830. Scraped to the original blue paint from the early 1800s with minor wear, marks and distress to the paint. Rounded front with one large door, carved ribbed decor. The interior is bare wood.
The original lock from the early 1800s is still remaining but it’s not functional. Instead, some time during the 19th century a small wooden latch was installed on the left side of the door, see picture. The feet as well as a smaller board in the back were replaced during a renovation in the 1900s. A genuine Swedish 200 year old furniture in good vintage condition with a healthy and stable frame. The short sides facing the wall are 69 cm wide.
