Large antique pine box in folk art from Sweden. The box is a measurement to measure volume and is made by hand in pine. It has never been painted and is marked with the tree crowns as well as years from 1812 to 1843 on all sides. Each mark is a control stamp from when it was controlled by the state that it has the correct volume. The measurement also has a unique stamp from the controller who did “kröningen”, the coronation in English, which is what the control was called. A genuine Swedish cultural item which is over 200 years old. Today it can be used for a variety of things. Such as a flower pot or blanket chest or simply as a decoration.
