Rare country home cabinet in baroque style from Northern Sweden made during the first years of the 1800s. The cabinet is handmade and in two parts. Solid pine with the original paint and decorative painting. The cabinet has the unique patina and character only 200 years can create and this cabinet in particular has a wealth of history and interest. The two toned paints create contrast and the hand-painted decorations all around the frame are unique and eye-catching.
The interior is wood bare and the inside of the door have traces of the original painted dating, 1806. Working lock and key, however the locks are newer. A fun and unusual detail its the painted escutcheons on the door that doesn’t have the lock. Minor old traces of wood worms in the lower section back piece on the lower cabinet – it is not active and hasn’t been for a long time. The upper cabinet is 93 cm high and 30 cm deep. The lower cabinet is 92 cm tall and 46 cm deep.
