Rustic Kubbstol from the late 1700s, northern Sweden. A kubbstol is a primitive chair made from a single large piece of wood. This pine log is hollow with an added plank for a seat. The chair is folk art with old and naturally patinated paint which has become distressed due to age and use. Healthy and solid frame but with some minor dry cracks.
