Rustic Swedish wooden bowl from the early 1800s. This antique bowl is made by hand from a single piece of wood, more specifically birch root. Original, untouched condition with genuine patina and traces after use. Bowls like this were used in the household for preparing, serving and storing food. Being functional items, it’s rare that they survive until today, especially in good condition. Here, the colour of the wood has faded after many years of use, giving it a unique patina. The height varies slightly between circa 7 and 9 cm.
