Antique Swedish stone pot in soapstone made in northern Sweden around 1820 to 1840. Made by hand from soapstone which is a soft type of stone. The pot is specifically from Jämtland in northern Sweden. It has some minor marks and traces after use and is an unusual item to find. The pot would have been used to prepare food over open fire which is also a reason few have survived to today. It measures 23 cm wide including the handle and 14 cm without.
