Rustic antique chest of drawers from northern Sweden. This rustic folk art furniture is made by hand in solid pine around 1800 to 1820. Fitted with two extendable drawers with original blue paint inside the drawers. The bottom of the drawers have some old dry cracks – as wood is an organic material it has slightly shrunk as it as dried.
The exterior of the chest has ribbed decor, even on the short ends. Rustic surface with traces of the original first layer of paint. Traces of an older repair at the back of the table top and the edge of the right short end on one of the drawers, see pictures. Nothing that affects function or stability. Drawer pulls in iron.
