Antique demi-lune table from Sweden. The table consists of two half-circles, or demi-lunes, made by hand in solid pine in northern Sweden around 1840. Unusual curved legs in baroque style. The table is untouched and has its original first layer of naive faux paint – imitating birch. One half has more distress to the paint of the table top than the other, see pictures. The tables are freestanding and can be used both separately, as console tables, or together as for example a dining table. Healthy and solid frame. Untouched original condition means that there are some historical marks and traces of use. The diameter is 111 cm which means one demi-lune measures 111 by 55 cm.
