Antique Swedish dining table or work table from the 1840s. Trestle table made by hand in solid pine in northern Sweden. The table top is thick and solid and rest on a trestle leg frame. This type of table dates back to the Middle Ages and has lived on for centuries.
This particular table is made around the 1840s and has never been painted or renovated. The surface is the authentic patina and shows the history of the table with minor marks and traces of use. The surface has also been bleached by the sun which has contributed the unique light patina. As a dining table it fits 6-8 people and with its stable frame and solid table top it also works as a work table. The wooden wedges that hold together the leg frame are later.
