Antique Swedish secretary cabinet in gustavian style. The cabinet is made in northern Sweden around the 1820s. The cabinet is a well crafted piece in two parts made by hand in solid pine. The exterior has significant distress to the paint, the surface is almost completely wood bare. It has not been sanded or treated but it’s the raw clean pine wood.
The interior behind the writing desk consist of drawers. Slightly unusual is the large space hidden underneath the desk which can be revealed by pushing back part of the desk, see picture. The interior has the original salmon pink paint and black table top. The key to the writing desk is missing. The doors have the original working lock and key. The hardware are brass and later than the cabinet.
The lower cabinet measures 110 cm wide including the trim and 104 cm without it. Depth including the trim is 60 cm. Height to the writing desk is 69 cm and totalt height of the lower cabinet is 98 cm. The upper measures 29 cm deep and totalt height of the cabinet is 226 cm.
