Antique Swedish country chairs from the early 1800s, around 1820 to 1830. The chairs are genuine country house furniture made in gustavian style. Made by hand in solid pine. They are in untouched condition with their original paint which over time has gained natural distress and patina.
The chairs are a genuine pair that have been together since the start. One chair is slightly larger than the other and have an unusual construction with double stretchers that connects the legs. The chairs have healthy wood, are solid and work well for use. The two chairs are 84 and 85 cm tall, with seat height 42 and 45 cm respectively. The front of the chairs measure 39 and 40 cm wide, with depth 37 and 39 cm.
