19th century antique long case clock from northern Sweden in rococo style. The clock is made around 1840 in Medelpad in northern Sweden. Curved shape and frame in pine with traces of the original paint. Where the paint is especially distressed the wood underneath shows through. Please observe the clock is not free-standing and needs to be placed against a wall. Originally they were often hung on the wall, hence the keyhole-shaped hole at the back.
Original clock mechanism, weights and pendulum. The mechanism was working at the time the photographs were taken however we leave no guarantee on the future function. The clock is sold as an interior design item and not a time keeper. The width and depth measurements are taken from the base of the clock.
