Gustavian long case clock from northern Sweden made around 1840. The clock has a straight, classic gustavian shape with hand carved decor. The skirt is decorated with flutes and there are carved tassels around the curved edge. Frame made in pine with traces of the original paint which has become distressed with age so that the wood underneath shines through.
Original clock mechanism, weights and pendulum. The mechanism was working at the time the photographs were taken however we leave no guarantee on the future function. The clock is sold as an interior design object and not a time keeper. The width and depth measurements are taken from the base of the clock.
