Gustavian country home desk from northern Sweden made during the early 19th century, between 1810 and 1820. The desk is a genuine country home furniture and has tapered legs with hand carved flutes and a drawer in the rim. Simple and functional with plenty of aged character this desk would be easy to place in any space, adding authentic charm and elegance.
Made in painted pine where the paint is thin and has become distressed over the years so the wood underneath shines trough. The wood plugs holding together the leg frame are visible trough the paint. The table top has faint traces of blue paint. Healthy and stable. Original drawer pull on the drawer. Height to rim is 60 cm.
