Antique Swedish country stool in folk art made with three legs. This stool is from northern Sweden and made around the 1860s. Older stools are commonly found to have only three legs, this because it was easier to make them stand stable on floors which were often uneven.
The stool has a round seat and is in its untouched original condition. The paint has become distressed with time and the resulting patina is full of rustic charm and character. The stool is steady and fit for use.
