Unusual Swedish pine cabinet made by hand around the mid 1800s. The cabinet has an unusual model for the area and time it was made and it has never been painted or treated. The surface of the pine has been allowed to age and gain patina naturally for almost 200 years. Giving it the unmistakable warm patina it has today. The cabinet has a working lock and key.

The door is integrated to the frame of the cabinet and disappear almost seamlessly into the front, with only the key that stands out. The style of the cabinet is very reminiscent of the 1930s Swedish Grace furniture that were also made in pure pine. The cabinet shares features with furnitures designed and created by Axel Einar Hjorth. Such as the clean lines and simple shapes. This cabinet however is made almost 100 years previous to the pieces made by Hjort. The width of the body of the cabinet is 91 cm. Including the list around the crown it’s 102 cm wide. The depth with and without the list is 54 and 49 cm respectively.
